Description:  Standing out in its bright candy apple red paint with the dual flags logo in the late afternoon sun is this EMD SD40-2 unit built in March of 1972 for the CP Railway. Specs - class DRF-30g, 40" drivers, prime mover of EMD V16 16-645-E3, 3000 hp, engine weight of 368,000 lb, starting tractive effort of 115,000 lb and continuous TE of 82,100 lb. No location or photographer was listed but it appears to be SK yard in Buffalo, NY.
