Description:  Here is the tenth of ten original photos by Douglas C. Jones that were taken in the Juniata section of Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1953. This photo was taken in the storage yard at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Erecting & Machine Shop. Shown here are "the basic facts" of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3646, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during April of 1916 and retired in February of 1954 after 28 years of faithful service.
