Partial Caption: "As seen at Jersey City, N.J., May 17, 1885." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #701, a D-7 (Anthracite) (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during October of 1884 and retired in November of 1908 after 24 years of faithful service.
