Title:
PRR 6764, M-1A, 1953
Description:
FM. Here is a duplicate 35mm B&W slide of a photo by Fred McLeod that was taken near Mount Union, Pennsylvania. Photo Caption: "Old Pennsy Wildcat still in use between Milltown and Mt. Union, Pa. June, 1953." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6764, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built in Juniata during August of 1930 and retired in February of 1956 after 26 years of faithful service. This photo comes from a slide set entitled "Horseshoe Curve, Pennsylvania Railroad" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (22-71).
