Kevin Peck General Yes, now that you mention it. Ole 999 started it's speed run at this point along the straight away to Buffalo, at the time in 1893, the longest in the country. Set the speed record in Corfu, NY, about 8 miles to the west of here at 112 mph for a steam engine! The NYC in it's prime along these current CSX tracks made alot of history! 12/12/2007 11:42:55 PM
