| Nine Union Pacific GE units were parked at the north end of the Wabtec test track in Justin, Texas, three miles north of the builder’s Fort Worth plant, waiting to be modernized. These locomotives were C44-9W’s 9566, 9565 and 9614, AC4400CW 5706, C44-9W’s 9600 and 9787, and AC4400CW’s 5767, 5754 and 5755. The south unit, 9566, had been repainted on 17 July 2018 and looked like it hadn’t seen much service since then. The tall sign on the right reads 500 FEET UNTIL END OF TRACK. |
