East Altoona. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1952. The photographer's name is not recorded. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6818, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in January of 1957. Partially visible at the far left is PRR engine #9766, an EF-15A built by GM-EMD in January of 1951, rated at 1,500 horsepower, renumbered "1467" in 1966, and retired in August of 1967.
