BNSF 7822
BNSF 7822 is the second unit on a southbound manifest freight parked in the yard at Wishram. The train is likely waiting on a new crew for the next leg of its journey along the Oregon Trunk Subdivision to Chemult. 7822, like the other engines in this consist, is a product of General Electric. Once the newcomer to the domestic diesel-locomotive market, GE has since become the dominant locomotive manufacturer in the US, and their design for road freight engines has remained the same for the past 30 years.
