PRR 9700, BF-15A, c. 1950         
Here is a photo by H.W. Pontin. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9700 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #9700 is a BF-15A constructed in April of 1950 and retired in February of 1965 after just 15 years of revenue service. The name of the railroad enthusiast pictured at the left, as well as the exact date and the location, are not recorded. John S. Fisher Collection; #10 of 15.
