About 100 feet away from the foundation is this unassuming shed. This was the second Carter Station. It was placed at the edge of the original station's foundation as a simple shelter and flag stop to serve out the end of passenger service. When its use as a railroad building ended it was moved here to be used as an outbuilding to one of the nearby camps. Reportedly the inside of the building is covered in wainscoting just like a regular railroad station. |
