Here is page five of a 32-page cover article entitled "Juice Jacks: The Electric Locomotive Comes Of Age." It was published originally in the July 1944 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 12. Shown here is New Haven Railroad engine #156, an EF-3B (2-C-C-2) electric built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in October of 1941, rated at 4,860 horsepower, and retired around August of 1959 after just 18 years of revenue service.
