| For a brief period from 1989 to 1990 the Santa Fe FP45s were painted sliver/red and renumbered but not in order of their prior numbers. For example, ATSF 106:5 is ex-ATSF 5993, not ex-ATSF 5996. All this will be corrected by mid-1990 when all the remaining units will be renumbered, in delivery order, into the ATSF 9X series. |
