| Built by EMD in April of 1957 as ATSF GP9 #750 but was rebuilt to GP9u level and renumbered 2283. Eventually the loco would be sold to NPR sometime before 2006. No location or photographer was given but based on other photos taken of the loco around this time, it may have been in California for this pose. |
