Tom Beckett	General	Looks like this is near Hunter tower. That's the LV overhead, which crosses over Waverly Yard, and enters their Oak Island yard beyond. This later became Conrail's Lehigh Line. This is also the location of the connection from the Pennsy to the LV, which was used by the Black Diamond, among other trains, to reach the LV from New York and Newark. It would gain importance in 1967 when the Aldene Plan went into effect, moving all CNJ commuter trains from Communipaw to Newark Penn Station, an arrangement that continues to this day.	9/7/2020 4:55:07 AM

Newark. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken near Newark, New Jersey, on 25 October 1952. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4913, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during January of 1942, rated at 4,620 horsepower, served into the Amtrak era as number "913," and presently on display at the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It's pulling one of the PRR's "Congressionals" past Waverly Yard. ("Stoneborobranch"; #4 of 11)
