Train P933, an OLS special, turns on the wye at Wildwood. At this time, the Leesburg branch had been abandoned, and the wye had not been used in some time. Several hours before this train showed up, a track gang came in and hastily replaced a number of ties on the stem and south leg of the wye. The train then ran around it at less than walking speed; at one point the engineer was told to slow it down even more. But fortunately, nothing went on the ground. |
