SLSF 2-10-0 #1615 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)
This former Russian 2-10-0 Decapod was caught by F. W. Krambeck as it sits in the Kansas City, MO, yard. A note on the back of the photo states "On old KCFS&M transfer table." Part of the canceled Russian Decapod order due to the Russian Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. Most often these narrow, tall Decapods with small drivers were used for slow drag service. The loco (along with 1621, 1625, 1630, & 1632) was sold to the Eagle Picher Mining Company in October of 1951. In 1964, the loco then was donated to Altus, OK, where it still sits enclosed in a fence as a static display.
