BN coach 6402
This Amtrak 64-seat coach still retained its previous identity as Burlington Northern 6402 when it was photographed at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal on the PANAMA LIMITED. The car had been built by Pullman-Standard in July 1955 as Missouri-Kansas-Texas 1207 DENTON for operation on the TEXAS SPECIAL. After the Katy discontinued it last passenger trains on 30 June 1965, it was sold to the Norther Pacific as car 529, then it became Burlington Northern 6402 and finally Amtrak 6451. It was retired in November 1977. (approximate date)
