PRR 6779, M-1A, 1954
TRB. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Bill Price that was taken at the Rockville Bridge near Marysville, Pennsylvania, on 28 October 1954. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6779, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Lima Locomotive Works as an M-1A during March of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in December of 1948, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. It's heading West across the Bridge in what appears to be a "Caboose Hop." The number of the N-5C cabin car is not recorded.
