Engine 304  Contributor's Pick!
Built in 1906 for the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad, which became a subsidiary of the Burlington Route 2 years later-hence the F.W.D. lettering under the cab but the Burlington Route logo on the tender. It was so good at switching, it was still in service in 1951, even though diesels were starting to take over.
