UP 1601
UP 1601 in tailing elephant position behind her bigger sister shuffling between the sort and departure yards... maybe (on the yard description... I took a picture of the Bailey Yard layout picture, but, honestly, I shouldve taken more care because the close color in the key... that or tried to understand all the activity - even though a very kind retire UP employee upstairs in the enclosed part of the tower took the time to point and talk through it all... honestly? Overwhelming is an understatement, especially trying to grasp the numbers that are pouring forth as he points (I mean, one of the two hump towers is so tall, its also a pass-under for a tunnel so units can pass from one side of the tower/sort yard to the other uninterrupted... which if you follow a group of power during a shuffle, you periodically lose them (I believe Bailey Yard is over 8 miles long, so I guess not hard to imagine losing them - but they go under, loop around, and eventually even over an rail-over-rail over-pass, then disappear again behind more railcars... it would take a long time to fully appreciate the immense scales were talking about.
