| Horseshoe Curve-1948. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred McLeod that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, in the Summer of 1948. Shown here are two westbound Pennsylvania Railroad mixed-cargo freight trains. An L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" is helping an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" on Track 4, while another "Decapod" labors alone on Track 3.
