| Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 6 June 1965. Shown here are the end of the Pennsylvania Railroad's new 4th Street Footbridge, the partially-demolished remains of the original Footbridge, as well as some of the PRR's 4th Street Shops paralleling Chestnut Avenue. It's worth noting that a new extension over the Shop area was never erected ~ and now, even the "new" Footbridge has been removed. (#36 of 44) |
