Savannah & Atlanta 4-6-2 750 under steam pulling a Southern Railway excursion train by the tower at East Point, Georgia on July 5, 1973. This unit was one of the earliest used in Southerns excursion program of the early 70s. Today this beauty - built by ALCo in 1915 for the Florida East Coast as their #80 and sold to the S&A in 1935 - is preserved at the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth, GA. |
