| BNSF Railway train B-NLSLAC1-26A (Baretables; Nelson AZ to Los Angeles CA) races around the curve just east of the Fullerton passenger station on July 27th, 2012. This westbound freight is on Track 2, and in the background (on Track 4) is Metrolink train 6502, the "Angels Express," laying over after ferrying passengers from Los Angeles (and other points between) to Anaheims Angel Stadium in time for the game between the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Tampa Bay Rays. The equipment will lay over here until after the game, and then deadhead the five miles back to Anaheim, pick up a load of fans, and head back to Los Angeles (making stops along the way, of course). |
