Here is another example of the white "Rocky the Goat" logo on a black background encircled in red. This was a common logo in the 1950-80's. The all steel 40'6" boxcar with a 6' sliding and 6' plug doors was built by the Great Northern Shops starting in 1960, part of a 500 car order. The image comes from the original negative now in my collection photograed by Hoosier rail fan Dick Berry. |
