According to the Unofficial EMD Home Page, this locomotive was built in May 1954 (c/n 19476) as TNO 244 (1st) on EMD Order 5334. It was renumbered SP 3415 after the 1965 systenwide renumbering, and was rebuilt to GP9E (or perhaps GP9R) 3359, then went on to become IWRR 174, AUNW 174, then VSRR 174. It is stencilled: HOUSTON HO MO2 9-85. |
