Great catch! Nice shot too! That was a rare catch being the second one was already a repaint.

Thanks David, This train was broke apart at Vaughn, NM. The full consist was these 2 units leading a C&NW C44-9W & another SP SD70M. I got a shot of the C&NW C44-9W leading the SP SD70M sitting at Vaughn, NM. Unfortunately that train didn't run until after dark. I wanted to get a shot of the entire consist together but I made a bad decision to go out on the UP & wait on the train to come, but it took a long time to come so I headed back to Vaughn & that's when I discovered UP made 2 trains out of 1 with that train.

True, til NS & UP started making things interesting with the heritage units, Class 1 RR's hadn't gotten dull for my taste with the exception of locals & transfers with the gold old classic power that I like, occasionally you could find some good consists on the road trains, but for the most part it was a parade of GE Widecabs all day long, I'm glad NS & UP started painting up heritage units to commemorate their predecessor railroads that were so important in forming the railroad that it is today
