Built for the CB&Q as E8 9972 in August 1953 (c/n 18314) it became BN 9972 on March 2, 1970, sold to the West Suburban Mass Transit District April 1, 1977, was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in May 1978, returned as 9906 and was leased back to the BN for operation and maintenance until retired in July 1992. |
