RDG 2-8-8-2 #1818
Title:  RDG 2-8-8-2 #1818
Description:  Although it was built by Baldwin in 1919 as a 2-8-8-2, there is no listing on the site for this configuration. Note that the loco is sitting on a rather large turntable. After several rebuilds, the loco ended up as a 2-8-8-0 after losing the trailing truck. Properties - 55.5" drivers, 210 psi, 26"x32" cylinders, engine weight of 478,500 lb, an impressive tractive effort of 97,818 lb. This is an older Max Miller photo reprint and not his usual quality.
