Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Columbus, Ohio, during August of 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8970, a BS-16MS road switcher built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in June of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. The photographer's name and the number of the N-6B cabin car are not recorded. ("LouisFols"; #13 of 26)

Shown here is PRR engine #8973, a BS-16M built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1951 and rated at 1,600 horsepower. It is pulling a string of cars past the Hollidaysburg "Yard Limit" sign. This photo was taken at the Juniata River Railroad Bridge, just East of the Bedford Street Crossing.

Description:  Everyday. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in July of 1960. Shown here is PRR engine #8973, a BS-16M built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1951 and rated at 1,600 horsepower. Its crew is pulling a string of cars over the Juniata River Railroad Bridge and into the Hollidaysburg Yard. Photo taken just East of the Bedford Street Crossing and the Hollidaysburg Passenger Station. Note that one of the crew members is making a call at the HOLLY phone box at the far end of the Bridge.

Its crew is in the process of switching cars in the Hollidaysburg Yard, adjacent to the Yard Master's Office at the very eastern end of South Juniata Street. Visible on the far right are the venerable water tower and the western end of the PRR's Samuel Rea Shop. Partially visible in the far distance is Bald Hill.
