PRR 9780, EF-15A, 1956 |
Description: |
Mann. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Duncannon, Pennsylvania, on 20 October 1956. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9780 and two more "EF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9780 was built in February of 1951. In this context, this A-B-A set is pulling a mixed-cargo freight train out of Altoona to the Enola Yards. ("PrrFan18n") |
