PRR 9525, EF-15, 1965
Title:  PRR 9525, EF-15, 1965
Description:  Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 6 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9525, #9641-B, and another unit whose road number is not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #9525 is an EF-15 constructed in July of 1948, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in August of 1966. #9641-B is an EF-15A built in March of 1950 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. They're pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight and are about to pass under the 7th Street Bridge. Note the two dwarf signals in the foreground and the 4th Street Footbridge in the distance.
