Album Info:Over the years I have taken pictures of depots and other railroad related buildings throughout the South while traveling. Many don't exist any more. Some still exist but the railroad doesn't exist they were built for. I have put the dates where I know them, but many I don't. Also, some I did not note where the pictures were taken. If you know, please let me know so I can add this information.

Description:  SCL Deopt. This was one of the SCLs modern depots built in the 1960s for passenger service. It is located about half a mile from the location of the stop built for Amtraks Sunset and about two miles from downtown Lake city.

Description:  Frisco Depot. the Tennessee Tom Bigbee Waterway was under contruction and the Frisco was going to be reroutedl A new bridge was being built over the future water way can be seen in the background. At the time of the photo, it just went over pasture land. This line and the depot were removed when the project was completed.

Description:  This was officially a Frisco depot. Actually the IC didnt have track within 50 miles, but they had trackage rights over the Southern from Haleyville to Jasper and the Frisco from Jasper to Birmingham. The City of Miami and Seminole made a stop here. So, the depot sign listed both the Frisco and IC.
