Derailment at Lawn Tower
Title:  Derailment at Lawn Tower
Description:  Well here's an old friend! Someone painted the cab interior of the 208 a crummy Penn Central green and would end its day's with a roll up garage door on its sides. This is a 40 mph curve.

Lawn Tower Interlocking
Title:  Lawn Tower Interlocking
Description:  Here's the interlocking board in Lawn (Woodlawn) Tower. I've marked the interchange with the Moshassuck Valley Railroad. This is the derailment site and the Providence and Worcester uses the track closest to Lawn Tower and has access to Pawtucket yard here. Notice the 3, 4 head semaphores - 1 for the approach to Lawn - the next (Conant Street) for the approach to Boston Switch and at the extreme right, is the set for Sacred Heart Avenue.

Boston Switch Interlocking
Title:  Boston Switch Interlocking
Description:  Its not the worlds best slide, but with the Sacred Heart bridge removed for replacement, here's a clear view of the typical New Haven 4 head semaphores for the Boston switch just to the left. 2 tracks became 4 tracks here.

Description:  From the closed Conant Street bridge. Lawn Tower today, closed and shuttered. The derailment was just past the curve and Conrail's long gone. Providence and Worcester track by the tower, and the Pawtucket yard lead at the extreme left. The 2 other tracks are the Amtrak Northeast Corridor tracks.
