The crane's being brought-up on the track used by the Providence and Worcester Railroad. The bridge is the Mineral Spring Avenue bridge. These 4 tracks under New Haven were the main east/west mains. The 2 right hand tracks are now the mains for the Amtrak Northeast Corridor |

Here's the interlocking board in Lawn (Woodlawn) Tower. I've marked the interchange with the Moshassuck Valley Railroad. This is the derailment site and the Providence and Worcester uses the track closest to Lawn Tower and has access to Pawtucket yard here. Notice the 3, 4 head semaphores - 1 for the approach to Lawn - the next (Conant Street) for the approach to Boston Switch and at the extreme right, is the set for Sacred Heart Avenue. |
