Title:  GN 4-8-2 #2513 - Great Northern
Description:  Massive and fast are the two words to describe Great Northern 4-8-2 #2513. Built by Baldwin in September of 1923, it filled the need for a fast power source for the Great Northern's St Paul to Seattle leg of the Oriental Limited passenger service. After nearly 35 years of dedicated service, the locomoitve retired in April of 1958 and presumedly scrapped. Specs - class P-2, 73" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 29x28" cylinders, engine weight of 271,600 lb and tractive effort of 54,840 lb. Unfortunately, no date, location or photographer was listed for this photo so approximate date and location was assigned.
