Title:  Captioned "The Original Super Chief"
Description:  Slide purchased many years ago. Date is "1936." I did not know the location but Jack D. Kuiphoff saw this posting and sent me the following: "I have many photographs from here, and beleive this is an east bound at West Darling, Arizona." Thanks Jack. Then Willard Seehorn commented "These are EMC 1A and 1B, the same picture appears on Page 6 of Priest's 'The Santa Fe Diesel'. Picture: Captioned 'The Original Super Chief'" Thanks Willard.

AT&SF 328L
Title:  AT&SF 328L
Description:  I wrote this caption: "This lash up is a ABBBB set of F7s shown at the Grand Canyon Station with the seasonal train called the Grand Canyon in July 1962. This train made a nocturnal round trip (69 mi.one-way) to the mainline at Williams Jct. (home of the current Grand Canyon Ry, note the mainline has moved north about 1/2 mile) to make connections and exchanging through cars." Then Art Burton corrected it: "The photo of the Santa Fe train you posted in the Grand Canyon was not the seasonal train. This photo must be a special tour train. My dad was a Pullman Porter on the Grand Canyon Limited sleeper that went into the Canyon. I was actually with him at the age of 12 in July of 1962 on a trip. The usual train at that time was a train consisting of a GP diesel with the Pullman cars, one eastbound and one westbound, one or two chair cars and a baggage car. This train was put together at Williams Junction. To see a long train with as many passenger road engines in the consist, lets you know that was a special tour train."
