CR E44 #4465 - Conrail |
Description: |
Unique in many ways is this Conrail E44 #4465 unit. It was the final production unit built by GE, originally PRR #4465. It survived PRR, the PC merger, Conrail take-over and even moved onto the Amtrak roster. Most important, it is the only E44 unit to have survived and now is preserved in the RR Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, PA. This slide was taken by CR conductor Ken Taylor. |
