Title:  CP 2-10-2 #5787 - Canadian Pacific
Description:  Long before an SD40-2 wore the number "5787", this 2-10-2 Santa Fe type steam locomotive had the honor on the Canadian Pacific roster. Original specs - class S2, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26.5x32" cylindeers, engine weight of 362,000 lb, tractive effort of 65,866 lb. The entire class of 15 locos were retired between 1952-54. CP 2-10-2 #5811 - Canadian Pacific
Title:  CP 2-10-2 #5811 - Canadian Pacific
Description:  Fifteen of these brutes were built by the CP Angus Shops in 1919 to serve as helper locos. Original specs - class S2, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26.5x32" cylindeers, engine weight of 362,000 lb, tractive effort of 65,866 lb. The entire class of 15 locos were retired between 1952-54. Although taken by J.R. Quinn, no location or date was given on this photo but a similar one seems to point to Coquitlam, BC, Canada at a similar date.
