On Friday August 2, 2013 the Adirondack Scenic Railroad ran a short freight from Thendara, NY to Big Moose, NY for a night photo session which will take place the following day. The locomotive they used was NYC 8223. The mighty ALCO is seen on the siding at Big Moose, NY ready to do a runnaround.

The Utica Train is parked north of the bridge that crosses over New York State Route 28. The V shape sign on the left is to let snow plows know bring in their plows because they are about to cross over a bridge or go through a tunnel or rock cut. These signs are common on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad.
